God's Treasure in Us

The Kingdom of God is like a man who found a treasure in a field. It was so precious to him he had to have it, so he buried it in a field. Then he went and sold all he had so he could buy the field and have the treasure. We are that treasure to God. He gave His only Son to die on the cross so we would not have to die in our sin. Jesus purchased us from the depths of Hell so we could have eternal life with Him.

And so I have found my treasure in Christ Jesus and as co-heir with Him in God's Kingdom, I am a child of the King, a princess, sharing the abundant life. The important word is "sharing." It is not enough to experience blessings, but to share the blessings with others, whether in words of encouragement or inspiration or monetary gifts or acts of kindness or service.

"Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver," 2 Cor. 9:7.

We don't have to be rich to be generous. When we respond to our abundance from God by giving to others, God keeps giving to us so we can keep on giving.
